We are currently looking for a Legal Officer to join the Singapore office.

The successful incumbent is responsible in monitoring all legal affairs within the organization. This individual shall handle both internal and external legal concerns, and is tasked to ensure that the company complies with the statutory and corporate governance practices and guidelines.

Role Highlights

  • Write and review company contracts and translate complicated legal jargon into language which stakeholders can understand;

  • Advise internal stakeholders on the changes to the laws affecting the company;

  • Analyze the legal implications of business actions and decisions, suggest alternative courses of action and mitigate risk exposure;

  • Monitor and/or advise on all legal matters, commercial contracts, and agreements. Ensure that all the company agreements are valid and renew legal contracts before they lapse;

  • Ensure proper documentation of all legal documents;

  • Ensure that all legal formalities such as tax payments, maintenance of assets, lease agreements and other such obligations are fulfilled on time;

  • Keep track of the latest amendments in regulations;

  • Liaise with relevant regulatory bodies;

  • Identify policy issues and assist the company to create advocacy strategies in respect of such issues.

Profile and Experience

  • Degree in Law or other related field

  • Possess good knowledge of Singapore and Indonesia laws, rules and regulations

  • Familiar with Personal Data Protection Act in Singapore and Indonesia

  • Meticulous

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Able to prepare complex legal documents
