An Overview:
The person needs to help the manager in executing the Merchant Proposition Strategy. The individual should have been exposed to large and mid-size merchants (businesses) across geographies and preferably have some experience in interacting / networking with this community. The objective will be to build new merchant alliances and support the various business growth initiatives to increase share of domestic and cross border spend.
The main job responsibilities:
- Identify / source country & regional merchants
- Conduct Multimarket competitive analysis and regional merchant market landscape
- Identify opportunities by using data
- Correspond with merchants and follow thru for an initial contact
- Assist in drafting merchant contracts
- Assist in reviewing marcom collaterals and coordinate approval with merchants
- Track results of specific program
Must have:
- A bachelor's degree preferably in marketing or business studies
- 2-3 years working experience in the same field or in marketing
- Analytical thinking and thinking out of the box
- Able to work independently
- Good communication / personality and writing skills
