Job Responsibilities
- Providing technical leadership and consultation relating to the network security scope, and sharing best practices
- Understanding the high-level design and ensuring that the network security design meets the project requirements
- SME to identify the key tasks and activities required from network security perspective to fulfil the project requirements and providing inputs to project schedules
- Ensuring all project documentation is completed including the design documentation (HLD, LLD), change templates to support configuration changes, slides and diagrams for the project and any other documentation necessary for all phases of the project lifecycle
- Reviewing firewall rules, validating security profiles and proposing the best approach to drive the project outcomes
- Reviewing and validating all the assumptions, dependencies and risks associated with the proposed changes to the network and security environment
- Ensure compliance with security policies, principles, baselines and guidelines
- Review runbooks and ensure that the detailed configuration and scripts will deliver against the high-level design, low-level design and fulfil the objectives of the project
- Producing and executing test plans
- Ensuring changes are peer reviewed where required and outline risks and mitigation plans
- Creating and submitting all changes to CAB for approval
- Support migration activities across all the in-scope locations
- Creation of handover documentation
- Facilitation of handover sessions for knowledge sharing and as part of project deliverables to ensure project team handover to Run teams
- Management and resolution of any incident tickets that arise from project changes and any adhoc tickets that are assigned that contribute towards targeted SLA
- Handover of activities to operational teams for business continuity
- Working with all internal and external teams to drive project tasks to completion and to drive project objectives
Job Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in network security, design, implementation and support.
- Experience in network security architecture
- Has experience in operational environment either in the support of networking services or network security services
- Experience in cyber security, risk management, and compliance frameworks and standards, such as ISO 27001, NIST etc.
- The candidate has experience in a wider regional organization and understand a matrix work culture. Experience in a global role is a plus.
- Excellent technical skills in firewall products & technologies especially in Fortinet and Checkpoint.
- Excellent networking skills in switching and routing
- Excellent knowledge on overall infrastructure including Wireless/VoIP technology, On premise datacentres and systems, Cloud hosted environments, end user compute
- Excellent communication skills to guide IT management and stakeholders on the Network Transformation journey.
- Understand and has experience with the translation of the Business requirements to technical architecture and solutions.
- Experience in Problem Management as part of the IT service management function.
