Main Purpose of the Role:
- Leads the SST team in Singapore, within Product Line SST. Responsible for sustaining and daily business activities of all SoftSolder Products and ensure short-, mid- and long-term successful. Ensures achievement of yearly business targets (sales revenue, sales prices and contribution margin). Ensures the long-term success by implementing the right product support strategy within the organization. Plays the customer role within the company.
Product Strategy & Life Cycle Management:
- Responsible for worldwide 2nd level support for all SST products
- Safeguards the achievement of the SST strategy, and its annual objectives
- Responsible for CSR (Customer Specific Request) and CIP (Continuous Improvement Project) task handling. This includes requirements engineering, decision and implementation process.
- Ownership Software Releases (PO - Project Owner)
- Co-operation together with Singapore R&D team to provide solution according customer specify needs
- Continuous monitoring of machine quality and improvement whenever necessary
- Responsible for customer demos / machine evaluations / customer process development
- Ensure proper customer documentation is available
Support of Market & Sales Development:
- Supports implementation of regional strategies together with the field (with support from CPM's)
- Coordination of programs to define and improve products and services offerings
- Supports marketing and promotion activities
Customer Management & Outside Representation:
- Supports customer and key account management in regards of technical and commercial issues
- Supports critical customer issue resolution (escalations, priorities, resource allocation etc.)
- Improves his market intelligence (includes competitive analysis) through customer visits
Business, Budget & Forecast Requirements:
- Helps to consolidates the PL SST budget and cost controlling
People & Departmental Management:
- Maintains staff skill level matrix and develops Product Management staff selectively
- Rollout of the performance management trough MBO process (Management by Objectives)
Requirements
Education
- degree in engineering, Bachelor / Master or equivalent
- additional education in marketing and business administration an asset
Work experience
- several years' experience as product manager for investment goods
Expertise and methodology
- experience in strategy development
- in-depth know how of semiconductor industry (assembly und packaging)
- marketing methods
- experienced in dealing with customers
- analytical and methodical thinking
