Research Associate - In Vivo Operations (Animal Husbandry/ RCULAC)

Our client is a Leading Tobacco company in Singapore. We are currently looking for a Research Associate - In Vivo Operations to support the operations

Location: Central
Salary : Up to $3200 depending on experience

Job Summary:

  • To perform activities during the in life and/or necropsy phase of experimental studies, in accordance with pertinent guidelines and standards.



Responsibilities:

  • Full-time involvement in the practical conduct of studies, including in life operations and necropsy procedures (where applicable)
  • To perform the planned daily work activities (e.g. animal husbandry, scientific procedures and necropsy).
  • To check the plausibility and quality of generated raw data.
  • To be familiar with and to uphold animal welfare standards in compliance with the NACLAR guidelines and other relevant standards, with regards to the use of animals in scientific research. To be responsible for the wellbeing of all animals in their care.
  • To perform the scheduled endpoint measurements for studies, such as urine collection, blood collection & organ collection.
  • To prepare simple technical reports.
  • To perform cross functional activities (where applicable).
  • To take up additional specialist tasks in other areas. The range of tasks that can be taken up depends on the qualification as listed in the table 'Team competencies'.e.g.Taskforce, validation and team activities.



Requirements:

  • Possess 1-2 years of similar experience
  • Possess good knowledge of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) understanding of Principles of Good Lab Practices (GLP), and AAALAC principles.
  • Responsible Care and Use of Laboratory Animals Course (RCULAC) certificate is ideal
  • Analytical, methodical and quality conscious.
  • Preferably possess degree/ diploma in biological sciences from recognized institution or equivalent ITE qualification with 1 - 2 years of similar experience.
