- Responsible for ensuring the team lives agile values and principles and follows the processes and practices that the team agreed they would use.
- Establishing an environment where the team can be effective
- Addressing team dynamics
- Ensuring a good relationship between the team and product owner as well as others outside the team
- Protecting the team from outside interruptions and distractions.
Job requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Business or related discipline
- Min 2 years of experience as a scrum master role
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I) ; (CSP, PSM II) is a plus
- Experience playing the Scrum Master role for software development teams that were diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
- Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
- Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach(example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc)
- Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc
- Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills
