Senior Accountant (Buona Vista), 5 months Contract

Summary
Seeking an experienced accounting candidate for journal entries, reporting, substantiation, Balance sheet reconciliations, reconciliations to underlying systems, and controls for APAC legal entities & Global tasks related to payroll, benefits, rewards and associated taxes.
The candidate must be able to analyse situations in line with AFP's and GAAP, understanding the upstream and downstream effects of changes, and will constantly seek ways to improve, streamline, and scale processes, partnering with business partners & system teams for efficiencies, leveraging systems, tools, and new technologies. Being part of an organization that promotes excellence, you will ensure robustness of the processes and internal controls as well as taking personal leadership to develop and drive a control environment to maintain the highest standard of controls and compliance.
Responsibilities

  • Play an important role interacting with People, Benefits, Compensation, LOB Finance Controllers, CFP&A, Corporate Accounting, Corporate Tax, GBS R2R & External Auditors, among others, to ensure that complies with US GAAP, Local GGAP, SOX & AFPs.
  • Foster accounting systems and their interaction with the general ledger, tax books, and ancillary reports.
  • Validate the end-to-end accounting flows of monetary and non-monetary employee incentives.
  • Submit meaningful flux commentaries in Analytics, complete international Assignees recharges and Budget to Actual reviews at quarter end.
  • US GAAP Close responsibility for a number of APAC entities. Local GAAP Support for statutory year end.
  • Support projects as subject matter expert with emphasis in automation.
  • Collaborate with the global team to establish and implement consistent and effective processes globally.
  • Prepare and compile audit PBCs under IPE requirements.
    Key Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting and / or tax roles.
  • Qualified Accountant. CPA / ACA / ACCA certification or equivalent.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines.
  • In depth knowledge of US GAAP, SOX, general ledger and technical accounting.
  • Excellent skills in balance sheet reconciliation & analysis.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts and articulate your expert opinion at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate across departments.
  • Proven experience of developing and encouraging relationships to influence without authority. SAP and Blackline experience.
