Job Responsibilities

  • Support the accounts payable team lead in providing guidance on matters related to accounts payable and fixed assets matter, including task assignment, workload management, and performance.
  • Partner with various internal and external stakeholders on matters related to accounts payable and/or fixed asset matters, including GL/FP&A/Operations/Auditors.
  • Coordinate with other departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payables and fixed asset matters.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely processing of the transactions.
  • Highlighting and reconciling accounts payable balances and follow up on long outstandings.
  • Verify and check vendor bank account information.
  • Main point of contact and work with team lead to handle operational fixed and ROU assets matter including but not limited to:
    1. Facilitate asset tagging and tracking of CIP assets on a monthly basis by partnering with internal stakeholders to obtain a timely update on the status.
    2. Maintaining FA schedule and the relevant journals.
    3. Ensure compliance with all associated financial regulations, governance and statutory obligations.
    4. Resolve queries raised by various departments and vendors.
    5. Evaluate and improve accounts payable processes, identifying opportunities for automation, streamlining and enhancing efficiency. Implement best practices and leverage on technology solutions to optimise accounts payable function.
    6. Facilitate tracking of CIP assets on a monthly basis by partnering with internal stakeholders to obtain a timely update on the status
    7. Manage month-end closing activities and ensure completeness and accuracy of fixed assets sub-ledger
    8. Maintain an accurate register of fixed assets ensuring all acquisitions, disposals, and transfers are properly documented and recorded.
  • Ensure compliance with all associated financial regulations, governance and statutory obligations.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives - Continual effort in automation and process improvements in areas of fixed asset accounting and reporting.
  • Ensure transactions comply with company policies, procedures, and approval processes.
  • Any ad-hoc duties as assigned from time to time.


Responsibilities

  • Diploma or degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience preferably in payables and/or fixed assets management.
  • Good knowledge of FRS 16, FRS 38 and FRS 116.
  • Have an analytical mind and be proactive.
  • Possess professional disposition with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good communication skills.
