Job Scope:
The applications are bespoke applications supporting specific business requirements such as Human Resource Management, Financial Management and Corporate Administration
Main duties and responsibilities of the successful candidates are to assist the System Manager/ Functional Leads on the management of Applications.
a. Requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment and run-in support of the IDS application.
b. Tracking and monitoring of CRs raised, conduct of impact assessment, design & implement solution, facilitate all testing activities and program deployment. Also seek improvements to streamline and further enhance the application design and solution.
c. Assessment and implementation of SR according to operating procedures, g. data patching requested by users.
d. Troubleshooting, assessment and resolving of PR according to operating procedures.
e. Responding to calls / email messages from users about problems/queries with regard to DES applications.
f. Develop documentation for new application (IDS) or update changes to documentation of existing applications where necessary. Examples of documentation minimally include the following:
- Functional Design (FD) specification
- Technical Design (TD) specification
g. Ensure the smooth operation of DES applications, and support is not disrupted during normal office working hours.
h. Maintain the development hardware and software patches.
i. Testing of applications arising from the software upgrade and patches.
j. Provide support in gathering the necessary information for audit purposes.
Requirements:
- At least four (4) years of working experience in information technology; of which at least three (3) years of experience in systems analysis and design; and at least completed one (1) project in information technology.
- Experience in supporting IT projects on J2EE Platform
- Good knowledge of software development, specifically in J2EE.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server platform.
