  • Responsible for the overall architect and ownership of Regional Network Infrastructure for Asia Pacific region.
  • This role reports to the Head of Department (HOD) in effective provisioning of Regional Data Center(s) Network and Affiliates/Branch Network Infrastructure in the region.
  • Ensure on-going support for business growth, establishing, maintaining technology standards, network architecture, policies, operating procedures, managing network systems and vendor services to ensure availability, security, and compliance of the Regional Network Infrastructure.
  • In-house Network Expert responsible for assisting the HOD in designing and managing the integration and operation of external SAP HEC Data Center(s) and multi-cloud networks to Regional RHQ Data Center(s).

Responsibilities:

Project Management and Supporting Regional Business Growth

  • Design, architect and maintain all regional network infrastructure, policies and procedures, governance in both on-premise and in the cloud.
  • Research, conduct Proof-of-Concept, evaluate and recommend ICT initiative to upgrade capabilities and/or efficiency or to achieve compliance needs of the region.
  • Evaluate, implement, enhance new network security technologies.
  • Prepare CAPEX and OPEX budgets for network projects and operations in the region.
  • Manage ICT network programs, projects, and network change requests in the region.

Operational Management and Governance

  • Be overall Lead for Regional Network and responsible for all network technology and operations deployed in the region.
  • Manage 1st to 3rd level network support, and function as the point of contact for all network support and change requests in the region.
  • Achieve System Availability targets as per Service Level Agreements
  • Assist HOD in Company Audit and Governance compliance activities.
  • Perform administration procedures of Company.
  • Additional duties as assigned by HOD.


Key Technical Leadership in RHQ Data Centers, Cloud Network, and Affiliate Office Site Network Operations

  • Plan, design, implement and maintain RHQ Data Centers, Cloud Network, Affiliate Office Site Network initiatives.
  • Integrate regional network to external data centers (e.g. SAP HEC) and cloud operators (e.g. Microsoft Azure).
  • Establish and maintain internal Company network routes and access (e.g. IPSEC, VPN, MPLS, SDWAN, BGP), and network security controls (e.g. firewall ACL)
  • Maintain DNS design and connectivity to external data centers and cloud operations.
  • Implement and maintain Intruder Prevention Systems and/or network security systems.
  • Provide effective network support to Affiliate Office Site Network Infrastructure and achieve system availability SLAs.
  • Maintain network inventory, up-to-date network diagram, network design documentations, network SOPs and technical configurations of the region.
  • Administer Read Domain Controllers, Print Management, LAN/WAN/WIFI Network Infrastructure and Communication Systems in Affiliate Office Sites.
  • Manage system, backup/recovery and network security in Affiliate Office Sites.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or equivalent
  • At least 1 Network, Security and Cloud certifications (e.g. CCNA, CCIE, CompTIA Network+, JNCA)
  • Infrastructure Project Manager certification (PMP, CITPM, PRINCE) is a plus but not essential.
  • CISA/CISSP or equivalent IT security certifications will be advantageous.
  • Min 8 years of IT network experience in end-user MNC environment or technical consultancy roles focusing on regional network design and architecture, enterprise Data Center network infrastructure, network security project implementations. Recent 5 years past experience must be in network technical domain.
  • Min 1 year exposure to IT Security and/or Cybersecurity
  • Technically competent and proficient in LAN/WAN and WIFI, BYOD, and IPSEC VPN, MPLS, BGP and SDWAN network technologies.
  • Expert hands-on competency in Juniper SRX firewall, Aruba switches, Cisco Routers, Ruckus WIFI, Pulse Secure VPN Gateway, Network Monitoring, Intruder Detection, Security Operation Centre, SIEM.
  • Hands-on experience in new office/plant IT setup, data center startup, disaster recovery operations.
  • Hands-on experience in managing and working with external or outsourced network vendors, overseas vendors, and telecom providers
  • Experienced in security risk management, server and network hardening, vulnerability management, intrusion technologies, ISO 27001 and NIST Cybersecurity framework can be advantageous.
  • Good understanding in VMWare vSphere, Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, SQL Database, and Microsoft Azure Cloud and AWS Cloud technologies.
  • Traveling and after office hours work expected for this role.
