The Solution Architect shall act as a technical expert for Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and L3/L4 Solutions in the basic design and analysis of systems architecture and enabling readiness towards Systems-of-Systems (SoS) integration. The SA will play a crucial role in the L3 business expansion. They will provide expert advice and guidance to project teams for systems of the most complex nature, evaluation of new technologies and develop departmental practices.
Responsibilities
- Design comprehensive and scalable architectural integrated solutions and the associated validation process to enable the realization of a design brief (e.g., in terms of functionality, aesthetics, and cost) that conforms to organizational specific needs and regulatory standards.
- Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to maximize usage of company industry solutions to enhance company L3 business.
- Play an important part in the development of quality procedures and standards by certifying technological processes, qualifying products, and supervising tests.
- Post-deployment of solution, monitor its performance and gather feedback to identify areas for improvement.
- Manage digital product/service portfolio life-cycle management, planning and aligning with relevant cross-functional product teams, procurement, and distribution.
- Evaluate the feasibility/relevance of proposed solutions, working in cross- functional teams with other SMEs to develop and deliver significant aspects of the development program.
- Select appropriate technologies, frameworks, platforms and tools based on customer / SME requirements, considering factors like scalability, performance, security and cost.
- Explore and develop a detailed understanding of external developments or emerging issues and evaluate their potential impact on, or usefulness to the organization.
- Manage a portfolio of projects while reporting to the Regional Process Owner (RPO) and Global Business Owner (GBO).
- Identify potential risks and challenges early in the project lifecycle and propose mitigation strategies to address them.
- Lead in detecting and analyzing security incidents, including attacks, breaches and identified vulnerabilities, and remediate any security gaps in line with the security incident management procedure.
- Document the most complex "as is" and "to be" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the changes required.
- Act as subject matter expert in an area of MES, Data Integration sharing insights, best practices and lessons learnt for entire global network. Maintain external accreditations and in-depth understanding of current and emerging external regulation and industry best practices through continuing professional development, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent level
- Domain knowledge of either Energy Sustainability, Material or Life Business
- 6-10 years experience of providing technical leadership to deliver large scale projects
- Experience in SQL, C#, .NET, OPC Classic, OPC UA, Angular, office 365, Edge Technology
- Solution architectural design, requirement specification, testing Specification, software life cycle management, ISA95, ISA 88, Industry 4.0, MES Best practices and Data security, data availability
- Willing to travel majorly in the APAC region and may travel to different regions based on ad-hoc request for business development support
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
