Job Description

  • Drive new, innovative, and cost-effective methods to promote environmental sustainability in APAC South.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor organizational environmental strategies.
  • Lead the creation of sector-specific recycling roadmaps across the region and establish partnerships with stakeholders.
  • Build expertise in recycling, life cycle assessment (LCA), and sustainability strategy, and stay informed about competitors' activities and relevant environmental legislation.
  • Identify and address critical environmental challenges in local markets, propose sustainable growth strategies, and oversee project implementation.


Requirement

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in sustainable projects, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Expertise in circularity, particularly within the packaging industry. This includes a deep understanding of sustainable practices, environmental impact assessment, and the ability to identify opportunities for enhancing sustainability in packaging.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various packaging formats and structures, enabling the ability to connect product design choices with their impact on recycling processes. Familiarity with the recycling stream and its relationship to packaging is crucial for promoting sustainable packaging solutions.
  • Proficiency in corporate social responsibility (CSR) and extended producer responsibility (EPR), with a track record of implementing these concepts through internal and external partnerships with vendors. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and influence stakeholders, such as Key Account Managers, Country Managers, and internal team members, while meeting requirements from NGOs or government entities.
  • Proven experience in project planning, project management, and excellent communication skills, including the ability to allocate resources effectively.
