Overview of Role

The Treasury Officer represents an important role in company's treasury transformation. It is a hands-on role for daily treasury operations with close involvement in the roll-out of the Group's treasury management system in the APAC region and the global treasury process alignment.
This role is typically a multi-tasking role directly linked to advance Treasury operations, where the candidate will be responsible for the completeness and accuracy of all treasury data, analysis and prepare reporting to the management.
The Treasury Officer is based in Singapore and reports to the Head of Treasury APAC (also based in Singapore).

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily cash balances and assist in cash flow projections to ensure sufficient funds to meet ongoing operational requirements.
  • Assist in cash management execution to meet liquidity needs for APAC region.
  • Assist to process and execute payments as per group guideline and cut-off time of all banks.
  • Execute Forex (FX) fixing and monitor Forex (FX) hedging settlement for various currencies.
  • Ensure accurate recording and timely payment of principal and interest payment of Current Account Savings Account (CASA), Syndicated Loans, and Fixed Deposit.
  • Responsible for account opening and closure, evaluating bank account access against bank mandate and establishing connectivity on both SWIFT and E-banking platform.
  • Liaise and coordinate with external and internal stakeholders for treasury operations and banking related matters/issues.
  • Actively engage in digitalisation, innovation and simplification initiatives/projects to further automation and enhance efficiency within treasury operation and across functional teams and offices.
  • Facilitate KYC (Know Your Customer) review with various banks for new bank onboarding, ongoing periodical review, and funding requirement exercise.
  • Assist in specific projects and perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the manager.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in relevant fields such as Business, Finance, Accounting, Audit, or Economics
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in Treasury Operations in Banking, Financial or Investment industry
  • Good to have experience in Commodity Business.
  • Good to have familiarity with Banking Processes, Payments, Forex (FX), Loans, Deposits and Cash Management.
  • Proficiency in Treasury Software like Power BI, Excel etc.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Keen attention to details.
