Warehousing and Logistics Operations Manager (Inventory/ Supply Chain/ BioTech/ Pharma)
Duration: 6 Months Contract (Convertible)
Location: Tuas
Salary : Up to $10,000 depending on experience
Our client is a fully integrated, global immunotherapy powerhouse who have been working on automated and digitized processes and build continuously capabilities for specialized manufacturing, either for individualized vaccines or for large-scale products like COVID-19 vaccine.
Responsibilities
- Warehouse Management: Overseeing all warehouse operations and internal or external warehouse personal, including inbound, storage, issuing to production, and outbound. Developing and enforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Work Procedures for warehouse activities to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Inventory Control and Optimization: Monitoring inventory levels to prevent stockouts and excess stock. Track stock movements, perform reconciliations and ensure stock accuracy.
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinating with logistics partners, carriers, and freight forwarders to arrange timely and cost-effective transportation of goods. Ensuring compliance with transportation regulations and overseeing the proper documentation for shipping and receiving.
- Quality Control and Assurance: Implementing GMP compliant procedures for inbound and outbound goods to ensure product integrity and compliance with standards. Prepare for and represent BioNTech Singapore warehousing and logistics Operations in audits and inspections to identify and address any quality issues.
- Supply Chain Collaboration: Collaborating with material planner and demand planner for effectively planning and executing inbound and outbound operations. Working closely with production teams to align warehouse activities with production schedules and support smooth operations.
- Continuous Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains in warehouse and logistics operations. Implementing best practices, lean principles, and automation solutions to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Technology Utilization: Leveraging warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology tools to optimize warehouse processes, track inventory, and improve overall efficiency.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensuring the implementation and enforcement of safety protocols to create a safe work environment for warehouse staff and visitors. Conducting regular safety training and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Reporting and Analytics: Generating regular reports on warehouse and logistics performance, inventory levels, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review and decision-making.
- Contribute to the set up and configuration of an ERP system and other required software solutions for warehousing and logistics operations aspects.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Science or Supply Chain disciplines
- Solid understanding of warehousing and logistics operations; ideally with 8+ years of relevant experience
- 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industries
- Experience working with ERP systems
- An understanding of GxP process and procedures
- Comfort operating in an environment with ambiguity and competing priorities
- APICS certification is ideal
