EHS Specialist (Contract | Environment | Health | Safety)

Our client is a global, broad-based health care Company devoted in discovering new medicines, new technologies and new ways to manage health. Their products span the continuum of care, from nutritional products through medical devices and pharmaceutical therapies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide co-ordination to the organization, maintaining EHS & Security focus, ensuring best practices are in place
• Maintain the highest standards of environment health and safety control ensuring compliance with all Abbott policies and procedures and meeting all local statutory requirements.;
• Develop and implement programs to meet current plant objectives and to meet future requirements ensuring achievement of the plant operations.;
• Interface with Site Management, particularly in the areas of EHS Excellence and participate as a supportive member to the organization.;
• Maintain a positive working environment through effective communication and respect for all employees.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related discipline with 1 - 2 year working experiences.
• Relevant experience in an EHS role in a large-scale manufacturing operation in food, pharmaceutical or medical industry or equivalent combination of education and work experience will be ideal
• Ability to communicate clearly with employees at all levels.
• Ability to work independently and effectively with multi-discipline teams to motivate and develop EHS culture in all employees.
