Human Resource Director
We are seeking an experienced HR Director with outstanding people skills to manage our personnel and ensure that our human resources programs and initiatives are effective, efficient, and aligned to overall business objectives.
The ideal candidate for this role should possess a high work ethic, excellent communication skills, knowledge of labour regulations and HR practices, strategic thinking abilities, good organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. The exceptional HR director should improve HR processes, implement strategies that support business growth, improve morale and employee retention, enhance safety and wellness, strengthen relations between staff and employers, manage job satisfaction, attract the best recruits, and promote the organization's values.
HR Director's Role:
- Based in Singapore and reporting to the COO, you will head Singapore Group's Human Resource function and lead the discipline.
- This is a generalist position and will require you to have good interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise, work independently and build relationships with a diverse group of people
- As leader of the HR team, you will also need to reflect company's Culture and Core Values
- Supervising HR personnel
- Dealing with employee grievances and disputes
- Supporting employee development
- Enhancing job satisfaction
- Designing onboarding procedures
- Implementing HR strategies that support business objectives
- Forecasting staffing needs, mitigating risk, structuring benefit packages
- Maintaining employee records, managing budgets
- Designing accountability mechanisms, and overseeing overall employment needs
HR Director's Responsibilities:
- Maintain a cohesive HR strategy, structure and SOPs across the Group, providing advice & counsel to the business on all HR issues including, but not limited to, talent acquisition, talent management, organisational development, employee relations and compensation & benefits
- Close liaison with the Singapore MD, and the HODs of each business line, providing partnering and advice to the leaders and senior stakeholders on HR practices
- Oversight and guidance of the local HR team
- Developing and implementing human resources policies
- Supporting strategic objectives
- Hiring staff and negotiating employment agreements
- Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
- Managing staff wellness and performance reviews
- Motivating and supporting current staff
- Maintaining staff records
- Handling employee benefits
- Identifying staffing needs and creating job descriptions
- Designing and directing training programs
Subject Matter Expertise
Strateqv / Structure / Process - Work with key stakeholders to drive strategy and process around robust talent attraction, management and development (acquisition, succession planning, engagement and retention)
- Also drive strategy and process around the management of internships, management trainee, and graduate recruitment programmes
Talent Management. Engagement. Development - Ensure that managers carry out performance review and performance development planning with employees in line with set/regular timelines, and that employee development needs are captured and addressed
- Work with and guide senior stakeholders to plan and manage the performance management programme - determine the matrices involved in their respective team's roles and functions, identify performance gaps, curate or craft training opportunities and track the improvement
- Work with senior stakeholders to identify, develop and retain high potential talent
- Launch and coordinate the delivery of regular employee engagement surveys within the group, including analysis and distribution of results and trends in a timely manner
- Plan action points with senior stakeholders to address poor results / low engagement areas
- Participation in and contribution to company meetings and events
- Create and implement wellness initiatives
- Own and lead the Group's Corporate Social Responsibility programme and activities
Employee Relations. Compliance/Governance - Manage employee relations including grievances, disciplinary proceedings, terminations, managed exit cases, etc. as required, ensuring that company policies are appropriate and adhered to throughout the business
- Ensure employment legislation including all contractual, policy and immigration related matters are complied with across the Group
- Advise and assist line managers with managing employee performance issues within their teams
Operations and Administration - Ensure that all HR policies are regularly reviewed, up to date and aligned to local labour laws
- Enforce company safety rules and ensure safety policies, procedures and training are up to date
- Ensure up to date health and attendance records are maintained for all employees via usage of the appropriate procedures and systems (?)

Compensation & Benefits
- Work with Finance to manage the annual remuneration review and advise on application of promotion and reward guidelines as required
- Produce and present regular and ad hoc HR KPl's and reports for Exco and Board meetings, including identification and analysis of trends together with recommendations for improvements
